Yixing Chen

Yixing Chen is a Medical Reserve Corps member serving as a county contact tracer for COVID19 and working with virology experts across the country to help model, predict, and consult for large universities and health departments during the COVID19 pandemic. He received dual Masters degrees in public health epidemiology and environmental health. One of his earliest publications demonstrated a novel point of distribution of vaccines during the H1N1 pandemic. He has also managed a county health departmental taskforce to help bring vaccines to underserved populations. He has also consulted multiple health departments under the National Association of Counties and City Health Officials along with co-authoring government guidelines during the H1N1 pandemic. He has created disease simulations and also trained health professionals and first responders on personal protective equipment during the Ebola epidemic.
