Professor Jean-Luc Margot is part of the Earth, Planetary, & Space Sciences department and the Physics & Astronomy department at UCLA. He is an expert in SETI (search for extraterrestrial intelligence) and planetary astronomy. Among many awards and honors Professor Margot has received, he is a Knight of the Order of the Crown in Belgium and even has an asteroid named after him!
