How Batteries Power Our World: From Phones to Electric Cars
Maher El-Kady
UCLA Researcher of Chemistry & Biochemistry /UCLA
What happens inside a battery when we charge our phone or drive an electric car? We will learn about lithium-ion batteries through familiar examples, physical models, and real battery samples. We will explore why batteries look different, how they store and deliver energy, and how scientists are developing better batters to power our increasingly electric world.
