Professor Kavner is a professor in two departments at UCLA: Chemistry & Biochemistry and Earth, Planetary, & Space Sciences. Her education and career have taken her all across the United States and even to Spain! Professor Kavner is an expert in mineral chemistry and geoscience and wants to preserve a clean environment and address the effects of climate change in her work.
