The UCLA Mathias Botanical Garden invites visitors to explore its diverse collection of plants from around the world. Guests will enjoy a peaceful, self-guided experience through this living museum, featuring shaded trails, native habitats, and unique plant species. Scavenger hunt sheets will be available for visitors of all ages to help you discover the garden’s hidden details and learn more about the plants along the way.
About the Garden shows:
- Self-guided tours last approximately 30 minutes.
- Please sign up for a self-guided tour time slot at the Ticketed Events booth.
- Your reservation time and entrance location will be printed on your ticket. Visitors must enter through the entrance noted on the ticket.

Ticketing Information:
- Admission is free with a ticket. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Visitors are free to enter the Garden any time during their reserved time slot; however, no re-entry is permitted.
- Visitors must exit the Garden promptly at the end of their designated time slot to allow the next group to enter.
Garden Guidelines:
- The Garden is a living museum. Please do not pick, remove, or disturb any plants, flowers, leaves, seeds, or natural materials.
- Stay on marked paths and trails at all times.
- No climbing on rocks, trees, or structures.
- Stay out of the stream and pond areas.
- Do not touch, chase, or feed any animals you encounter in the Garden.
- Food, drinks, and strollers are not permitted inside the Garden pathways.
- The Garden is wheelchair accessible via designated routes; please ask booth staff for details.
- Unsupervised or disruptive behavior may result in removal from the Garden.
