Seeing the Unseen: Explaining Dark Matter
Dark matter and dark energy make up 95% of the universe! DM is invisible – it doesn’t interact with light – so cannot be directly observed! Dark matter provides the scaffolding for the formation of galaxies and galaxy clusters. DM does not “clump” at the center of galaxies like matter Neutrinos are very low mass and very abundant in the universe, and are similar to what dark matter might be! Some names for dark matter particle theories are WIMPs and MACHOs!
