Professor Stixrude is in the Department of Earth, Planetary, & Space Sciences at UCLA. He has a long history of teaching, including being the Head of the Department of Earth Sciences at University College London. In his research, Professor Stixrude studies the behavior and properties of Earth using advanced modeling and simulations.
